Anton Jurgens Charitable Trust

Background

The Anton Jurgens Charitable Trust provides grants to charities registered and based in the UK for charitable work taking place in the UK. This is in addition to the funding available from the Anton Jurgens Fonds which is focused on the Netherlands and West Africa/Indonesia and is not available for UK based charities.

The aim of the Trust is to alleviate suffering by making grants to charitable organisations that try to help those who are vulnerable in society.

Objectives of Fund

The funding is intended for UK based charities working to help those who are vulnerable in society.

Value Notes

Applications up to a maximum of £10,000 can be made.

Who Can Apply

UK registered charities with an annual turnover of less than £500,000 can apply.

Applicants must:

  • Have been registered for at least three years.
  • Not have received a grant from the Trust in the last five years.

Location

United Kingdom

Restrictions

The following are not eligible for funding:

  • Research.
  • Promotion of religion.
  • Arts and culture (unless these are engaged in the development of therapies).
  • Charities that are UK-registered but operate outside the UK.

Eligible Expenditure

The funding is for projects that support socially disadvantaged and disabled people of all ages.

How To Apply

Applications can be made at any time and are considered twice a year in Spring and Autumn.

The Trust only accepts applications that are submitted via the online form available on the website of the Trust.

The Trust does not reply to unsuccessful applicants. The advisory committee will only get in touch with applicants if the Trustees decide to consider their request at one of the two Trustees Meetings.
