Bernard Sunley Foundation

We hold three Trustees’ meetings a year in March, July and November.
Our large and medium grants are decided at the Trustees’ meetings.
We will organise a visit if we are considering you for a large grant.
Small grants are decided by Trustees on a monthly basis.
We will always contact you to confirm the outcome of your application.
If you have been rejected, you can apply again 12 months after your original application.
If you have claimed your grant, you can submit a new application.

Our capital grants are one off, single payments.
We do not fully fund projects. Our grants are offered as a contribution to overall project costs.
Trustees decide on the amount to be pledged. We do not ask you to specify an amount.
We fund around 50% of all applications received.

Grants are available for small to medium-sized charities registered and working in the UK that defend human rights and promote respect for vulnerable individuals.
