Unlocking young people’s potential through the power of choral singing.

London Youth Choirs is a charity working to transform young lives through singing. Our aim is to combine musical excellence and social change. Through our 10 choirs for ages 7-23 and free programmes in schools, we help thousands of young Londoners each year access the joys and benefits of singing. We particularly work to improve access for disadvantaged young people, supporting them to find their unique voice and to thrive through music. Our ever-growing family of choirs offers a home for all young singing Londoners and members are able to stay with us as they journey through their formative years.

At the heart of LYC is a family of 10 choirs for young people from school year 3 to age 23. The choirs meet once a week in term time, and perform regularly throughout the year across London and beyond. We exist for all of London’s young singers. Our citywide vision has always promised to deliver two things: musical excellence and social change. We work to remove barriers to access to ensure that everyone can take part.
