About Project

Harrow Arts Centre will be launching a new theatre-making group for young people with funding from John Lyon’s Charity, which will launch in January 2020 as a 6 week sessional project. Together with our project partner, Theatre Centre, we will be offering 15 young people aged 16-25 from across Harrow the opportunity to form an ensemble theatre group at the arts centre in which they will co-create with a professional theatre director a response to their community, their futures, and their hopes.

The project will begin with an open day of exploration on Saturday 7th December 2019 at HAC in which you will have the opportunity to shape the project, setting out what you want to do and how you feel the project should be structured. We have loosely set plans for weekly meetings on Wednesday evenings from 8th January 2020 (a feedback session from the open day) to 19th February, but that may change in response to the needs of your cohort.

This project is free to take part in and no previous theatre experience required. We do expect a certain level of commitment and an interest in developing your skills.
