You can self-refer to this service. The time and days will be mutually agreed between you and your mentor to fit around your schedule. You can choose to meet with the mentor in the family home or online.

What

Breathe One to One Mentoring is a service for parents and carers in Harrow with children or young people on the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services waiting list.

When our children are suffering, we can feel alone and unsure and the support Breathe One to One Mentoring aims to offer can help enhance your understanding of what your child might be experiencing and how you can support them, yourself and the rest of the family.

The mentoring service usually consists of 6 - 1-hour sessions in either the family home or on-line.

You will have an opportunity to share your concerns in a safe, non-judgmental confidential space. You can learn strategies to better support your child’s mental health needs and receive guidance on how to navigate the CAMHS waiting list and other resources available in the community.

This service is tailored to your individual needs and circumstances and covers any issues that you may be of particular concerns.

Your personal mentor will spend time with you listening to your concerns about your child(ren) and help you to be able to support them though this difficult time.
