We are providing assistance by distributing free hygiene kits and winter warm kits for young carers and their families who struggle financially and have been impacted by the cost of living increase. Items include: Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Shampoo and Conditioner, Body Wash, Body Creams, Deodorant, Sanitary products / Hats, Scarfs, Gloves, Socks, Blanket, Hot Water Bottle, Flask.

We are also hosting a number of free family cinema nights at 74 Pinner View HA1 4QF over the winter period to assist young carers and their family members to come along for an engaging evening of entertainment. Just bring along your picnic chairs, picnic table and a blanket to wrap around you sit back, relax and enjoy the movie. We have plenty of chairs and tables so don't worry if you haven't got a picnic set.

We will also be providing free financial assessments on an individual family basis and running free financial workshop sessions. These will assist you and provide expert advice on things like benefits, how to avoid lone-sharks, financial management, paying bills as well as looking at support with application for items such as washing machines, and fridges.

Harrow Young Carers team is providing support to young carers and their families who are on a low income and have been impacted by the continued increase in the cost of living.

Hygiene kits are provided with two months worth of items and can be renewed once every two months. The hygiene kits are for young carers and their families who may be on benefits or a low income and facing continued financial challenges. Each young carer registered will receive six hygiene kits in total.

Winter kits are provided as a one off to help through the winter period. The winter warm kits are for young carers and their families who may be on benefits or a low income and facing continued financial challenges.

Schools will be required to make contact via email highlighting the needs of the young carer for assistance.
