What

The 'Empower Arab Youth in Harrow' project is a dynamic and transformative program designed to uplift young individuals from Harrow's Arab community, combat poverty, give confidence of future opportunities, offer individuals essential skills and guidance to break the cycle of poverty. Through engaging entrepreneurship workshops, digital upskilling sessions, coding workshops, and career development talks, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to pursue their dreams, shaping a brighter and more prosperous future for themselves and their community.

Who will conduct the workshops and sessions?

Highly qualified facilitators, with expertise in entrepreneurship, digital skills, and digital marketing, will be selected to conduct the workshops. Professionals from diverse career backgrounds will be invited to share their experiences and insights during the career development workshops.

Project breakdown

The project consist of the following workshops and sessions:

  • Entrepreneurship Workshops: Bi-weekly sessions over a period of three months (6 sessions in total). Engaging activities and group discussions will empower participants to develop innovative business ideas relevant to their interests and passions. The workshops will also include guest speakers, successful entrepreneurs from the local Arab community, who will share their personal experiences and provide valuable insights into overcoming challenges and achieving success.
  • Digital Upskilling Sessions: Weekly sessions over a period of three months (12 sessions in total). Participants will be introduced to various digital tools, online communication platforms, data analysis techniques, and productivity applications. Hands-on exercises and interactive sessions will ensure that young individuals can confidently navigate digital environments and utilise technology for personal and professional growth.
  • Career Development Workshops: Weekly sessions over a period of two months (8 sessions in total). Professionals from various industries will be invited to speak about their careers, the skills required, educational pathways, and potential for growth.
