About Khulisa
As a relatively small charity, working across multiple London boroughs our work is well defined and evidence based. Over the last three years we’ve worked with MOPAC and the VRU across 8 London boroughs, including Harrow, Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster, Camden Southwark and others. Through this work we identified that our intervention, supported over 68% of young people to increase their wellbeing and acted as intermediate support before young people needed critical interventions or whilst they were on a CAMHS waiting list. Our work is underpinned by the belief that challenging or anti-social behaviour is not a character trait, but a response to a young person’s early experience of trauma or abuse. By exploring their past experiences, teaching emotional literacy, building resilience and wellbeing, we provide young people with the social and emotional skills they need to transform their lives.
