The activity runs from 11 April 2023 to 15 April 2023. The Young Harrow Foundation does not manage bookings for this activity and is not responsible for the delivery of the project. If you have any questions, please contact the organisation directly.

Booking forms will be sent out in response to your enquiries. These need to be returned by Friday 31st March deadline to ensure your place. We may need proof of your free school meals entitlement. Thanks.

Come join in our action-packed, fun active holiday club.

Engaging activities, opportunities and support for your children and young people over the Easter holidays!
Your children will have the chance to relax, recreate, make friends, and try a whole range of fun & enriching activities!

WHEN:

Tuesday 11th - Saturday 15th April: Week 2 of the Easter Holidays.

St. Alban's Church Halls and Green - North Harrow. HA2 7PF.


WHAT'S ON:

Full range of Sports (with Sports Coaching team) and Active fun (Wide Games, Team Games & Challenges..), Chill-out Club Room spaces, Table Tennis, upcycling Arts 'n Crafts, Nutrition Shake 'n Smoothie Making, ‘Taste’ challenges and quizzes, Sign Language workshop, Music & Junk Percussion workshops, Baking and Decorating, Archery, Fencing, Tri-Golf, Juggling, Dance, Portraiture, Wii & X-Box interactive games ..and a tasty hot lunch prepared fresh every day.

Special activity streams where we've brought in the specialists! Something special for everyone

  • Re-active: Individual and team sports/games with our sports coaches and support team : Emphasis on active fun and participation
  • Re-create: Arts & Crafts workshops with a recycling theme : Use existing materials to create something new
  • Re-sound: Music instrument workshop includes junk percussion theme : Use existing materials/items to make/build up percussive rhythm
  • Re-bound: Learning together about bullying and resilience
  • Raise your awareness: around deaf people and those with hearing challenges, and learn British Sign Language!
  • Have your cake (and eat it): Cupcake decoration with our resident baker :)
  • Super-tastic! Shakes & Smoothies: Who knew healthy food could taste so good? Quick and easy too..

Holiday Club days are divided into two age groups, morning and afternoon:

  • 09:00 – 12:30 | 5-9s age group
    - parachute games, trikes and scooters, team games, bubblemania, hula and limbo, party games, Easter Egg hunt, Wii & X-Box interactive games, 'have-a-go' sports, Easter crafts, story telling & reading corner..
    - every day ends with a hot, tasty, healthy lunch.

  • 12:30 – 16:00 | 10-16s age group
    - starts with a hot, tasty, healthy lunch
    - sports and group games, team challenges, STEM N.A.S.A. challenges, arts 'n crafts, music instrument sessions, junk percussion, chill out club rooms
    (table tennis, snooker, fusball, nail & beauty bar, Wii & X-Box interactive games, card games, board games, reading & poetry corner)..
    - Please Note: Weds afternoon will be a later start as it's a trip out for our 10-16s age group:
    Rise Up! with us to defend the world against alien invasion! - at the 'War of the Worlds' Immersive Experience.
    20 places only. https://thewaroftheworldsimmer... This carries a PG rating and parents of younger ones will be asked to confirm approval.

ABOUT THE HOLIDAY, ACTIVITIES AND FOOD (HAF) PROGRAMME

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is a Department for Education (DfE) funded programme of activities for children and young people aged 5-16 years, during the school holidays (Winter, Easter, and Summer). The programme offers a range of activities in Harrow, including some specialist SEND provisions. Places are free for children who meet the criteria, and a free nutritious meal is provided at each programme. More about the programme.
