Free Spaces For Children and Young People at Easter Holiday Clubs in Harrow

Over 1,000 free places are available for children and young people aged 5-16, at local clubs and activities this Easter holiday. Each space also includes a free nutritious meal, per day. To be eligible for the programme, families must be living or studying in Harrow and in receipt of (means-tested) free school meals.

Activities can be viewed and booked via youngharrowfoundation.org/haf-programme

Over 20 local organisations have received funding to deliver activities which include multisports, boxing, arts and crafts, football, comedy skills workshops, cooking clubs, theatre and music, trips and much more. There is something for every child to keep them stay active and enjoying their school holiday. As with every HAF programme, there are a number of specialist high-need SEND programmes, and a range of mainstream inclusive activities.

New for Easter

This year there are more opportunities for teenagers including free drop-in football and youth sessions with Watford FC Trust at their Cedars hub. There are also boxing and nutrition sessions for over 12s with Sweet Science.

Dan Burke, CEO of Young Harrow Foundation, said: “We’re really happy to be working with local organisations to offer another exciting lineup of activities for children and young people this Easter holiday. Many families in Harrow have come to rely on The HAF programme over school holidays - whether that’s for trusted high-quality childcare or simply for their child to have access to amazing activities, and food, for free.”

Cllr Hitesh Karia, Harrow Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People said:

“The HAF programme continues to be growing success in Harrow. It offers a lifeline for many families and young people in our borough by giving them access to great activities and food. So I am pleased this is once again returning for the half term holidays to support those in need.”
