Thousands of local children to enjoy FREE Winter holiday clubs
All activities are open to children aged 5-16, living or studying in Harrow and who are receiving (means-tested) free school meals.
Activities can be viewed and booked via youngharrowfoundation.org/haf-programme
The Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme runs every school holiday period in Harrow. It is a partnership between The Department for Education, Young Harrow Foundation, Harrow Council and DVS Foundation. The funding enables local organisations to deliver activities and programmes, and offer them for FREE to eligible children.
The activities range from multi-activity camps, boxing, tech camps, arts and crafts, dance, sports and much more. There’s something for everyone. There are also a number of specialist SEND programmes, and a range of mainstream SEND inclusive opportunities.
Dan Burke, CEO of Young Harrow Foundation, said: “We know the cost of living crisis is hitting many families hard this winter. The HAF programme will enable those who need it most, to access free quality childcare this Winter holiday period, with food included.”
Cllr Hitesh Karia, Harrow Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People said: "The HAF programme has been a huge success for Harrow. It’s great news that it is returning for this Winter holiday, and so many families and children can continue to benefit.”
