YHF Members Newsletter (November)

Welcome to the Young Harrow Foundation Newsletter - where we will share the latest opportunities for our members and associate members.
Hello,

It's been a busy couple of months for the team here at Young Harrow Foundation. Here's our summary of the latest opportunities and events, and catch up on what you may have missed. Don't forget to follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

See you soon,
The YHF team

Highlights

Introducing our latest youth needs analysis - This is Harrow.

Read the report here: youngharrowfoundation.org/thisisharrow

'This is Harrow' is a vital report that captures the latest data and information from professionals and young people about what it is like growing up in Harrow in 2023. The document brings together the latest research sources across Harrow, and insights from local professionals and interviews with young people.

This data can be used by our members for fundraising and designing services.

If you would like a hard copy of the report, or to discuss the results, please contact ceri.morris@youngharrow.org

Change Makers

We are thrilled to have awarded 21 organisations with grants to tackle the four key areas of need set out in the This is Harrow Report - Poverty / Safety / Emotional Wellbeing / Physical Health.

A total of £200,000 was awarded in Harrow, provided through a partnership between Harrow School, Harrow Council, Deo Deuce, John Lyon's Charity and ES Broadcast

Events

Harrow Funding Event

On 24th October we hosted our second annual Harrow Funding Event, in partnership with Voluntary Action Harrow.

We received great feedback from members that they found it hugely valuable, especially the amount of 1:1 time afforded to them by funders including, Arts Council England, Ethical Property Foundation, National Lottery, Jack Petchy, City Bridge Foundation, Ground Work London, and John Lyon's Charity. See the highlights of the event on our Instagram account.

Youth Voice
We have kick started a new piece of Youth Voice work in partnership with six of our members, who are working with their young people to make sure that young people's experiences and ideas are being fed into the Borough Based Partnership Family Hubs work. Learn more HERE or contact Ceri if you'd like to talk anything youth voice related.
